Mechano Growth Factor (MGF) FM2

Mechano Growth Factor (MGF), also known as IGF-1Ec, is a splice variant of the Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) gene. It is produced in response to mechanical stress or muscle damage and plays a crucial role in muscle repair and regeneration.

• MGF is generated through alternative splicing of the IGF-1 gene, resulting in a unique E-domain. This variant is upregulated in skeletal muscle following mechanical overload or injury, stimulating satellite cell activation and proliferation, which are essential for muscle growth and repair.
